Cosmetic Tattoo

This technique is created with a digital machine and designed to implant pigment throughout the brows and lips in order to create a soft powder finish. The term 'Ombre' refers to the brows being softer and lighter through the front of the brow while being more full and defined through the tails.

Beutiful Client Result from LUNA's Ombre Brow Treament

Get Bomb Brows
Without Blades

A specialised form of tattoo artistry that enhances the natural features of your face. It involves a technique that implants coloured pigment into your skin, with a small disposable tattoo needle. No Microblading is offered at LUNA Skin + Brow as we believe that Ombre brow is your best long-term option, and what Sam & Darcy now specialise in.

Ombre brows is a popular technique in the beauty industry that involves the dispersion of pigment into the upper layers of brows' dermis. This gentle method enhances the shade of your natural brows and is favored by both professionals and clients alike.

Its subtle approach creates a soft, powdery finish that is perfect for those who want to achieve a natural-looking, filled-in brow appearance.

Lip Blush

Lip Tint Tattoo, also known as 'Lip Blush' is a subtle approach to a fuller lip using naturally toned pigments to blend and shade within or outside the natural lip line. We tailor to your dream lip shade with the choice of either rich definition or subtle shading. Imagine only ever having to apply a clear gloss or lip balm for added sheen over symmetrical and kissable, luscious lips.

Health Contradications

PREGNANT & NURSING MUMMIES

Though every possible measure is taken to ensure the prevention of infection and cross-contamination, the risk of infection still looms for any and every client that may be considering a tattoo. Should an infection occur on a pregnant or nursing mother as a result of a tattoo procedure, the complications that might arise as a result of the infection outweigh the benefits of receiving the procedure itself, as the infection would not only affect the client, but also the client’s baby. The risks involved simply are just not worth it. Please schedule your appointments once you are done breastfeeding!

DIABETES

Diabetics are at high risk of infection due to the nature of cosmetic tattoo. In addition, diabetic patients are often on blood-thinning medications such as warfarin. Because we as tattoo artists are not medical professionals, we have no right to ask any client to discontinue their prescribed medications. It is important for any diabetic patient to have a candid conversation with their physician about whether or not this service is right for you.

AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE

This includes, but is not limited to: lupus, celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, etc. Unfortunately, the tattoo healing process would be compromised by these conditions and by the medications prescribed as a result of these conditions.

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, HEART CONDITIONS, PACEMAKER PATIENTS

It is not recommended for anyone with heart conditions to get any form of permanent makeup done, as doing so would put you at an incredibly high-risk of infection. Those with heart complications are often on medications that thin the blood, which in turn will cause excessive bleeding. As stated earlier, tattoo artists are not medical professionals, therefore we have no right to ask any client to discontinue their prescribed medications in order to receive our services. Patients with HBP or existing heart conditions/diagnoses unfortunately will be turned away from receiving services at LUNA. Artists might accept clients with HBP/heart conditions with a doctor’s clearance.

TAKING PRESCRIBED BLOOD THINNING MEDICATIONS

Medications such as warfarin, coumadin, etc, that have been prescribed to you by your physician for a health concern should not be discontinued just to receive services. If you are on regular, prescribed blood thinning medications, you should refrain from receiving any permanent makeup services.

SCHEDULED SURGERY(S) IN THE NEXT MONTH

Pre and post op surgeries almost always require patients to be on a number of medications and antibiotics for an extended amount of time. These medications may disrupt the healing process, leading to discoloured and undesired results. Please wait until your surgery(s) are complete and you are through with your pre/post-op medications before scheduling an appointment.

TENDENCY TOWARD KELOIDS OR SCARRING

If you are prone to keloid scarring then you should absolutely avoid any permanent makeup procedure. Artists can not guarantee that you will heal without a keloid scar no matter how light-handed they are in their technique. Clients prone to keloid scarring unfortunately will be turned away from receiving tattooing services at LUNA Skin + Brow Bar

ACCUTANE USERS (IN THE LAST YEAR)

Accutane is an oral medication used to treat cystic acne. The medication causes the skin to become incredible fragile, not allowing the skin to receive or heal cosmetic tattooing gracefully.

EXTREMELY OILY &/OR PROBLEMATIC SKIN

This includes complications on the face only, such as extremely oily skin, large, visible pores in the eyebrow area, eczema, psoriasis, keratosis Polaris, dermatitis, chronic acne, and rosacea. Due to the nature of these complications, the risks involved include:

  • Excessive bleeding

  • Higher risk of infection

  • Poorly healed results

  • Blurry healed results

  • Discolouration of pigment during the healing process

  • Skin is unable to retain pigment

ACTIVELY PURSING CHEMOTHERAPY &/OR RADIATION

Cancer patients that are actively pursuing aggressive treatment can not receive tattoo services from LUNA Skin + Brow Bar

ALLERGIES TO:

  • LIDOCAINE

  • EPINEPHRINE

  • STAINLESS STEEL

Lidocaine & epinephrine are active agents in aesthetics used during our procedures, and are inevitable. Our blades and cartridges are made of stainless steel and are also inevitable. Please do not book an appointment if you have allergies to any of the aforementioned, as you will be refused service at LUNA

Brow Tattoo Aftercare

  • Treat your tattoo like an open wound – That is what it is!

  • No cleansers, makeup, swimming, spas, or direct water on the area until peeling has finished.

  • INITIAL 12 Hours after tattoo– Wipe over with damp cotton round to remove any lymph fluid!

  • When washing dab area with water, gently. It is absolutely necessary to keep applying cream to keep the area moist.

  • You will be supplied with your aftercare cream at your first appointment.

  • It will be 2-3 weeks before the true colour appears and becomes translucent.

  • For some clients it is perfect, others it may be too light, or patchy in some areas. If this is happening, you are able to apply colour until your scheduled top up.

  • Apply Barrier cream 5 times a day for 7 days. It's best to always apply before showering. Best to apply a smaller amount often during the day.

  • Gently wash every evening to remove build up and any bacteria.

  • If the skin is itchy you are not applying enough cream.

  • Some people, depending on metabolism will experience more exfoliation than others.

  • Exfoliation (peeling) is part of the healing process, do not worry.

  • Exfoliation usually takes 4-6 days

  • The colour underneath the brows will at this point appear to be much lighter in comparison to the skin which is coming off.

  • The eyebrows will take 7-10 days to fully appear after the peeling has finished. At this point the colour will be lighter and more natural in appearance.

  • Sunscreen is advised to protect the brows from fading.
